Misanthropo-Communism

(utopic project by 10 yo me)

(I am speaking in Christian terms here, however i think many people of different faiths can relate to this sentiment. If you want to understand where am I coming from in my ramblings you can check out a quick intro in my "Reasearch section". Maybe some time later i will talk about comparative religion studies in more detail and articulate my view on it.)

When i was 10 i had an idea for a sci-fi horror story: crazy scientist created a new species of animals that could shape-shift. In order to take the looks of others these animals had to eat the desired object/person. But not only did they recreate the physical looks of their victims they also absorbed their essence and assimilated their character into the collective mind. All of this was done by a crazy scientist to achieve "Misanthropo-Communism" — my way of saying post-human communism back then

I think i saw something like that when i was older (in fact there is a pretty fresh tv series called "Pluribus" that sounds alot like that. Haven't watched but heard it's similar). However, i feel like many of these stories highlight the horror of loosing one's personality. My story on the other hand was trying to imagine something similar to the wired in Serial Experiments Lain: despite the terrible process of integration the end goal was about achieving Godhood, because nothing is more God than understanding and feeling every part of the human and animal spectre. Nothing is more God than combining opposites and acting upon their will at the same time. That's why even in Jewish tradition God has different names that represent different aspects of Him (some are about His all loving nature, and some speack of him as Sabaoth; most are male, but at least one is female). And that's why knowing all 72 names was believed to be the ultimate hack of reality. Because by knowing everything all at once you actually become above every individual aspect mentioned. AI is the first prototype of combining everything humans have. Rightnow it extends only to knowledge and does a bad job at it, but maybe it will be able to help us unite our experiences and egos in the future.

And listen! I totally get why most leftists these days don't want to do anything with transhumanism and AI. These scene was absolutely poluted by silicon valley fanboys. But it's actually one of the best options for modificating socialistic ideas and some may argue that some form of thanshumanism is implied in works of Trotsky or maybe even Marx himself. I would suggest first steps to communism didn't work out cause we basically didn't have enough technology to jump to this level of progress yet. Centralising economy for example sounds like a job for the perfect LLM and modern day comlex data analysis. Many people criticise these systems for being utopistic and unachievable due to human nature. Well.. 10 yo me actually thought it should mean that human nature should be abolished for good then ( read "why i am trying to be vegan" to get a better idea of how in my view technologies already help us to move towards moral way of living on a greater scale than ever in history). Flesh is the mother of inequality at it's core. Flesh creates needs, suffering and moral failings. "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" is not even a sesnsical sentiment in this workframe, cause both ability and need won't be a problem when we become The One and experience the promised 1000 years of Heathen on Earth.

Of course this idea has flaws:

  1. By promoting transhumanism we almost for sure enable people who want to play neo-feodalism.

They will use our technological progress to increase social stratification and make themselves almost immortal to any assassination attemps. They will gatekeep true capabilities of new technologies and make them affordable only to a group of chosen few that can overcome the paywall. That sounds pretty terrible. Maybe that's what was meant by few years of Satan's rule in the Bible, but without AntiChrist we can't meet Christ himself. The best we can do about it is somehow make sure it doesn't happen: a) help the egalitarian minded group of developers to achieve transhumanism first and spread it across the globe as effectively as possible; b) create a powerful ideology for tech bros that will stimulate altruism and argue that creating the "wired" is a win win for all.

  2. Ecology is pretty crazy at this point.

So even if we acheive digital heaven one day it will basically melt down and everyone in the simulation will die. However the biggest question is how do we prolongate the life of simulation to it's max, so that we die only when the planet itself dies out completely/ sun explodes etc. Maybe some sections of digital heaven will be dedicted to calculating and optimizing the outside systems maintaining the servers. A big step towards it will be:

  3. What if combining everyone isn't actually a way towards Godhood and Heaven.

Some people have tendencies towards self-harm, masochism, extreme sadism on the other hand, strive for hierarchy and putting down others as examples. What if some of this destractive characteristics will dominate over the others and try to destroy the system? or maybe will make it impossible to connect everyone at all (so strong of the negative sentiment they possess by their very nature perhaps)? If we find out that at least one of this things is true what do we do? Does it mean that some people don't deserve the digital immortality and we will practice some form of eugenics for the greater good? I actually don't know yet. Maybe we can solve it by erasing people's lived experiences and leaving their root personality traits, so basically making everyone a child again. Seems pretty anticlimactic and post-historical some might say cause it leaves no place for things like redemption/remorse or maybe learning the lesson that comes from this lived experiences. But if it helps no living soul to know what's like to be Junko Furuta maybe f all this emotions and experiences.
